Karaoke Marathon Bharat is being organised as a flagship initiative of Aarunya Centre for Happiness, and it has grown into a national effort — bringing together music, participation and a shared sense of purpose from across India.
The ambition is extraordinary: 1,000 hours of continuous singing.
Hundreds of singers. Thousands of songs. More than a month of continuous activity. And one Guinness World Records attempt.
Behind the singers, however, there is an enormous amount of preparation, infrastructure and support required to make the attempt possible.
We don't want this to be just a record achieved by a few people.
We want it to be a record that people across India can say — “I helped make this happen.”We are inviting people across India to come together and support four essential requirements of this 1,000-hour world record attempt.
A continuous public musical performance of this scale requires appropriate music rights and licensing arrangements.
Community support will help meet this essential requirement of the attempt.
The attempt is expected to continue for approximately 42 days, involving singers, volunteers and the operational team.
Support will help provide food, refreshments and basic hospitality throughout the journey.
The stage, microphones, mixing desk, speakers, screens, lighting and power backup required for the attempt.
This equipment has to run continuously for 1,000 hours without a single failure.
Running a 1,000-hour attempt takes an operational team on the ground — scheduling, record-keeping, adjudication requirements, safety, security and round-the-clock coordination.
This is the work that keeps the attempt valid, safe and continuous from the first hour to the last.
Some will contribute their voice.
Some will contribute their time.
Some will open a door.
Some will share the story.
And some will contribute financially.
Every form of participation matters.
